Strong Families Through Education, Encouragement and Support
Community Service Block Grant
(C.S.B.G)
The Family Resource Center was awarded the Community Service Block Grant and has been designated as a Community Action Agency (CAA) in order to assist families in Elko county. We hope to work closely with other providers in Elko County, with a common goal in mind of helping families get the tools they need to make their lives more comfortable.
C.S.B.G. Goals

· Assisting low income people to become more self sufficient. |

· Living conditions are improved. |
|
|
· Low income people take a stake in their community. |
|
|
· Partnerships among supporters and providers of service to low income people are achieved. |
|
|
· Agencies increase their capacity to achieve results. |
|
|
· FRCNEN works with local agencies to support healthy, stable and happy families. |
FRCNEN Goals
|
· We are dedicated to helping families in Elko County overcome the obstacles of poverty and to give then a stable start for the future. |
|
|
· We are not providers of emergency services. Goals are more long term and require a family plan which may include emergency services if necessary. Our aim is to provide more than a band-aid approach so that families will continue to have economic security. |
|
|
· Goals may include basic necessities, education, training, job search and limited medical/dental expenses. |
