Grandparent/Guardian Respite Services

Do you know of a grandparent or guardian who is 55 years or older and is the primary caregiver for a child/children who are 18 years or younger?

The FRCNEN Grandparent Respite Program offers up to $1000.00 per year in respite vouchers to qualified grandparents, or other relatives, for short term respite relief.

What is FRC Grandparent Respite?

The program is for guardians that are 55 years or older, are the primary caregivers to children 18 years and younger and are  living in guardian's home.  Up to $1000.00 per year is a available in respite vouchers.

Why Respite Services?

 

·         Your loved ones well being depends on your well being.

 

·         Tired or overwhelmed? Respite helps you from putting aside your own needs.

 

·         Provides brief periods of relief and rest to caregivers.

 

·         Provides temporary care in order to reduce the amount of stress for caregivers with children.

 

·         Supports and strengthens families.

 

·         Provides time for recharging one level of energy.

 

·         Peace of mind.

Eligibility Guidelines

 

·         Individuals providing care must be 55 years of age or older.

 

·         Must be able to provide appropriate documentation that grandparent/guardian has custody and is of age. (legal documentation: letter from school, doctor, etc.)

 

·         Caregiver and child/children must reside in the same home.

 

·         Child/children living with grandparent/guardian due to biological or adoptive parents unable or unwilling to do so.

 

·         All income levels welcome.
